The Kaupapa
Te Iwi Āio is building village, tribe and connection to reo, tikanga and whakapapa through wānanga with ourselves, our environment and our Atua.

Building Village
One of our goals is to build a fully functional physical village, a place of aroha, manaakitanga and whanaungatanga.
A diverse, multipurpose space to hold traditional wānanga, classes, networking functions or family gatherings.
A safe space to be unapologetically Māori.

Building Tribe
Te Iwi Āio is the tribe. A tribe of ever-growing, young Māori, brought together by the divine guidance of our Atua Māori in the form of wānanga.
Supporting each other through the evolving dynamics of life, mahi and kaupapa.
A family striving to create and leave a legacy for the next generation, our Tama-Ariki, our Moko-Puna.

Building Connection
Connection to our reo, our tikanga, our whakapapa.
Connection to our communities, each other, ourselves.
Connection to our Whenua, our Taiao, our Atua.
